Christmas 2008 Part II: Hartford

Soon after Christmas, we traveled to Hartford, a small town in northeastern Ohio where I grew up. My sister and oldest sibling, Bridget, was coming to town with her family from Utah. We were lucky to get to see them out west over the summer. My kids had their cousins fresh on their brains and couldn’t wait to pick up where they left off.

Corinne was excited to be get some of Carmen’s old Barbies. She LOVES Carmen. There aren’t many female cousins on either side of the family.

Mason loves being outside. They rode the 4-wheelers some, but the favorite activity was trying to shoot Uncle Lance and Cousin Kevin with the paintball guns while they zig zagged around the backyard. The big boys were just as excited as the little boys.

Why is it that when the camera turns on kids make weird faces? Gotta love it!

My mom found a coupon for cheap rollerskating. First, I love Corinne. That goes without saying. However, she gets frustrated when she isn’t good at something immediately. I had major concerns about the evening. She proved me wrong! She fell about every 10 seconds for HOURS and LOVED it! I was so proud of her. My arms got quite a workout trying to keep her on her feet and picking her up. I’m really glad we went.

Thanks for such a good time, Paynes! My kids had so much fun staying up late on New Year’s Eve playing games. It was nice to get to be together.

  1. Greta, I love, love, love your blog! The pictures are the BEST. Thanks for stopping by with the Girl Scout cookies and tell the kids I’m leaving their note on the white board. Stop by again some time (no cookies are necessary!)
